THE VETERINARY ACT 1966
I work within the guidelines of the Veterinary Act 1966. This act safeguards the wellbeing of your horse.
It means only a fully qualified and insured therapist can visit your horse or pony.
Maintenance Massage / Emmett Therapy visit for a healthy horse as part of its wellbeing regime is acceptable.
However, it will be necessary to obtain consent from your veterinary practice if your horse is currently on any veterinary treatment, or has any relevant veterinary history.
This also applies if your horse is exhibiting any new lameness or change in its health.
I am unable to visit under these circumstances without your veterinary surgeons consent.

I am able to provide maintenance visits when an animal is in good health and not currently receiving any veterinary treatment.
But please do contact your veterinary practice if you are concerned about a change in your pets health.
While Emmett and Reiki can be very beneficial they are no replacement for veterinary care.
If you would like me to visit please contact me.
